Promoting the use of technology in Chinese language learning and instruction

TCLT Forum (Mailing List)

(Last updated: 2019-10-04)

1. About the forum

To promote technology-based Chinese language teaching and CALL research in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, the TCLT Standing Committee decided at the 5th International Conference and Workshops on Technology and Chinese Language Teaching in the 21st Century (held at University of Macau, June 6-8, 2008) to set up a mailing list for Chinese language teachers, students, and TCSL researchers to share new ideas, introduce new software and application techniques, announce relevant publications and conferences, and communicate with each other. The Standing TCLT Committee hopes that the mailing list will enhance communications on technology-based Chinese language teaching by serving as a central distribution point for information and discussion and helping speed up the process in bridging the gap among  technology, research and curriculum and pedagogy.

The list server is located at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), Murfreesboro, TN, USA and currently supported by the Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at MTSU. The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures, Hamilton College, Clinton, NY, USA also provided support from 2008 to 2014. The list is a moderated list server. Jun Da at Middle Tennessee State University is the current moderator.
